Artspace’s Unpretentious Approach To Dealing Fine Art


The online art gallery creates a platform for the general public to purchase fine art through free education and affordable prices.

Artspace is a curated online art gallery and purchasing platform for fine contemporary fine art at reasonable prices. Featuring insight from renowned curators around the globe, Artspace serves first to educate, and then to offer limited edition works from some of the most important contemporary artists of today. Membership is free, granting subscribers privileged access to original works in weekly sales.

The collaborative start-up was co-founded by Catherine Levene and Christopher Vroom. Levene was the COO of Daily Candy before selling the company to take time to travel the world and study art in Madrid where she conceived of the project.

Artspace sees its larger goal as helping sustain creativity cultures around the globe by making fine art feel more accessible to the general public. Though a cut of each sale will go to its co-founders, a share will go directly to artists, institutions, and other non-profit organizations supporting the arts.
