Worlds Biggest Play-Doh Sculpture Created For Chevrolet Orlando Launch

By Dave Pinter on March 10, 2011

Chevrolet parked a 1.5 ton Play-Doh sculpture in downtown London yesterday, a life-size replica of their Orlando MPV. The hand-sculpted by a team of eight model makers, the project took two weeks to complete. Created to mark the launch of the Orlando MPV in the UK, the choice of using blue Play-Doh came from survey results generated from UK adults who were asked to list their favorite toys of all time. Topping the list was Play-Doh followed by LEGO, which would have made a semi-functional build possible, but might have sucked in most of GM’s engineering staff to the project.
