With near field communication (NFC) technology likely to be ubiquitous in the next generation of smart phones speculation has begun on what forms this will take and what avenues it might open up.

Debate is still swirling over whether or not the iPhone 5 will actually incorporate NFC but that hasn’t stopped a rather cool use of the technology being tabled:

With the next iPhone, you could place it next to a computer and have all of your settings, files and apps show up, just like it’s your computer. When you grab your phone to leave, it erases all traces of you. Suddenly, any computer can be your computer.
