P&G Partners With Recyclebank

By Aziz Ali on April 13, 2011

P&G’s Future Friendly (“a program that helps consumers save energy, conserve water and reduce waste”) has partnered with Philadelphia’s Recyclebank to bolster recycling efforts nationwide. Recyclebank rewards its users with points when they pledge to be more green and include savings on grocery retailers, receiving coupons, and discounts on brands.

The partnership with Future Friendly marks a new (but not unusual) phase for the growing company. We wrote about their partnership with Kraft in 2008 and P&G’s sponsorship is another positive step forward for everyone. Vice President Kirk Perry said the partnership is “a natural fit for Future Friendly’s core mission” that serves a “dual focus on educating the public and rewarding consumers for improving their environmental performance.” Another article by PopSop confirms:

“Future Friendly will provide Recyclebank members with opportunities to earn points through online educational content via the Recyclebank Learn & Earn platform, highlighting methods to save energy, save water and reduce waste within their homes.”

Incentive-based recycling is on the rise!
