Taxi Drivers Used To Spread Ideas For TED

TEDxBuenosAries used local taxi drivers as an innovative new communication channel to share ideas from its conference.

To further spread the ideas from the TEDxBuenosAries conference and to connect with the local citizens, TED called upon the best talkers in town: the taxi drivers.

The drivers were invited to the conference and, after listening to 6 hours of inspiring ideas from TED’s guest speakers, were sent back to work where they shared what the learned with passengers.

This innovative approach targets a captive audience while delivering messages in a more engaging and personable way. It opens up further possibilities for members of the community to be leveraged as the new storytellers.
