A 21-page brochure from 1989 advertising the Apple Macintosh to students used illustrations from a young Matt Groening. “Who Needs a Computer Anyway? A Student’s Guide” used images from Groening’s Life In Hell comic strip. The booklet was published just months before The Simpsons first aired on TV. It features caricatures of student stereotypes drawn in Groening’s distinctive style.
