$4.5 Million Plane Parts Upcycled Into Luxury Desert Living

$4.5 Million Plane Parts Upcycled Into Luxury Desert Living

Recycled 747 house recently completed, gone through massive transport project.

Michael Ellenbogen

Transported by truck and helicopter, the 747 house was actually “sliced” into several major sections and moved to a hilltop in Malibu. Designed by David Hertz Architects, the dwelling uses wings, to enclose spaces. A 50-foot length fuselage is used as a roof for an art studio, and first class cabin deck was used for the guest house.
