Al-Jazeera Digital Dashboard Tracks ‘Arab Spring’ Tweets
Al-Jazeera is acknowledging the increased importance of social media like Twitter and Facebook and the influence and action it generates. They’ve created a new dashboard that visualized data captured on these networks in countries in the Middle East that are prone to revolution. The interface features four quadrants, each capturing revolutionary activity in different ways. The visual includes a tweet feed, keyword distribution table, total daily tweet count by country, and the tweet count by time.
