Atwater Village Farm is a project set up by chef Piper Goldstein, who wants to create a new corner store where local produce is sold, neighbors can meet, and school and community groups can gather. This local market will provide healthy, fresh food at an affordable price. Buying organic and sustainable food obtained from local farmers and artisans will also help businesses in the area. Goldstein hopes the project in her neighborhood, L.A.’s Atwater Village, will enable members of the community to collaborate and support each other.

The campaign is currently on Kickstarter, with a $20,000 goal. Supporters and neighbors’ donations will go towards building the market and establishing its place in the community. Pledging $1000 or more will get you immortalized at the market, as they’ll name a vegetable juice after you.
