Bespoke Watches Made By Dedegumo [Pics]

By Emma Hutchings on June 15, 2011

dedegumo, founded in Kyoto, Japan has opened its first store outside of the country in New York’s Lower East Side, with an open workshop so customers can view the watches as they are made. Its watchmakers, trained in techniques passed down over the years, craft unique hand-made time pieces using hand-cut Italian lace leather and intricately detailed brass, silver, bronze and copper.

Each watch is presented in a wooden box, stamped with a small cloud (dedegumo’s logo) and wrapped in furoshiki cloth. A card is placed inside with a personal message from the watchmaker.
