The Scottish brand aims to market its whisky to Chinese consumers.
Creative agency LOVE came up with the concept and design for the Johnnie Walker House in partnership with Singapore-based interior designers Asylum. The “brand experience space” opened in Shanghai last month and it features many installations designed to promote a journey of discovery for guests and to inform them about the history of Johnnie Walker whiskey.
Peat and barley walls, a copper sculpture of the distillery process and an interactive blending table all add to the experience. Willow patterned porcelain whisky bottles, illustrated by London-based Chris Martin, also feature in the House. The decorative Chinese-style white and blue pictures tell the story of Johnnie Walker whisky’s epic journey from Scotland to China over a hundred years ago.
