Microsoft has developed a search engine that builds 3D virtual models of individual human viscera from 2D CAT scans, automatically detecting and recognising more than 50 organs in seconds. Doctors can use the system, called InnerEye, to view organs during surgery or to track the progress of a disease over multiple scans. Wired
