Renegade Craft Fair Finds: Luca Antonucci And Mgmy

By Nate Graham on June 17, 2011

PSFK took a trip to Brooklyn’s Renegade Craft Fair last weekend to check out all of the vendors and handmade goodness. While there were tons of incredible artisans present, a few in particular caught our eye.

The Reason of Sleep, created by San Francisco artist Luca Antonucci, was one highlight. This series of seven prints details the impressions left by a pillow on Mr. Antonucci’s sheets over a week’s worth of sleep. It’s a beautiful example of the intersection between art, craft, and quantified self.

mgmy Studio also stood out with a selection of minimal ceramic works. Their faceted terracotta pots are equal parts Buckminster Fuller and d20, complementing the organic shapes of plants with harsh geometry.
