Tweetolife: Gender And Time Comparisons On Twitter
This website lets you compare what men and women tweet about and how often certain terms are used throughout the day.
Tweetolife is an analytics tool that lets you compare gender and time differences in tweeting behavior. Millions of tweets collected between November 2009 and February 2010 were analyzed by researchers from the University of Trento, Italy who separated them into subsets of male and female and also grouped them according to the time of day they were posted.
In the ‘gender differences’ section of the site, you can search for phrases to see which gender tweets about them most often, or see what other things they talk about when they mention the phrase. Under the ‘hourly differences’ tab, you can see how the frequency of tweets mentioning a specific phrase changes throughout the day.
