UK scientists used 3D printing technology to create chocolate treats in any design you can think of.
Three dimensional printing is getting a chocolate makeover on behalf of the Research Councils UK’s Digital Economy program. The University of Brunel, the University of Exeter and software developer Delcam are leading the initiative that will turn 3D designs into edible chocolate treats. The printer will use 3D CAD drawings, specially designed temperature and heating controls to create these delectable designs. Unfortunately the printer isn’t available at your local boutique but according to Engadget there are plans for a made-to-order retail site that will let you contribute or modify homemade creations.
