Facebook walls flooded with ‘happy birthday’ wishes have become something of a norm. That’s when two Miami Ad School Hamburg students, Yasmina Boustani and Katharina Schmitt, came up with an idea that allows individuals wishing a mutual friend happy birthday to pool in for a bouquet.
Flowers can be bought directly through Facebook via the app the duo developed.
Partnering with 1-800-Flowers, the bouquet would arrive by same-day delivery right at the doorstep of the birthday boy or girl.
The 1-800-Flowers campaign is a winner at the 2011 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
