IKEA will install electric vehicle charging stations in 10 Western US Stores as part of the furniture giant’s collaboration with ECOtality, Inc. Two charging stations will be installed in each location until this fall, in Arizona, California, Oregon, and Washington.

There was no official announcement naming which stores will be chosen. We also found out from Inhabitat that this is a bigger ECOtality, Inc.’s project – installing a “14,000 commercial and residential charging stations with financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).Fresh Home.
