The crowdfunding platform reaches another big milestone and releases some statistics and graphs to explain how they’ve managed to be successful.
Kickstarter, the website that provides creative projects with the opportunity to find funding and support, has successfully funded its 10,000th project. The milestone was reached after a band called Citizen from Ohio reached its $800 goal for releasing a 7″ record.
The current project statistics show that over 26,000 campaigns have been launched on Kickstarter, with a success rate of 44%. The number of projects funded last month was exactly the same amount as the number funded in Kickstarter’s first year – 1,044. In terms of the amount of money raised, the projects that are most commonly found on Kickstarter are smaller projects that raise $5,000 or less.
