Korean Air has joined forces with leading vodka brand Absolut to create ‘Celestial Bars.’ which will feature in the airlines’ new Airbus 380 aircraft. The A380 will be fitted with three of these bars, with two in Business Class that are self-service and one in First Class with its own bartender/mixologist.

The airline has ordered ten of these A380 jumbo jets, with the first half being delivered by the end of the year and the rest by 2014. The Absolut branding in the bars is said to be subtle and discrete. An exclusively-designed pattern, which draws inspiration from traditional Korean woodcarvings and features the shape of the Absolut bottle, appears on the wallpaper and drink coasters. The Director of the Absolut company global travel retail, Anders Olsson, said:

With the Celestial Bars, we want to bring some of the classic jet set glamour back, updated for an all-new generation of aircraft and style of travel.
