The Toyota Prius Project Concept Bike was the result of a collaboration between Toyota, Parlee Cycles, Deeplocal and Saatchi & Saatchi LA. The aerodynamic, hyperefficient, innovative design was accomplished with readily-available components. The bike helmet is EEG-powered and after training the system to distinguish between the cyclist’s thoughts of “shift up” and “shift down”, the helmet can send the correct signal to the bicycle’s electric derailleur, thus changing gear with only the power of the mind.
