The Hype Machine Launches Exploration Tool To ‘Fast Forward’ New Music

By Emma Hutchings on July 13, 2011

The Hype Machine keeps track of what music bloggers are writing about, with a great directory of blogs they’ve hand-picked. They’ve just developed a new way to discover and explore the latest tunes, called Fast Forward. This tool lets you pick from the latest, popular, or a specific genre of music and then shows you screenshots of related blog posts. It plays short samples of the songs discussed on the page before skipping to a preview of a new site.

If you want to read the whole post, you can click on the image. If you like the song that’s playing, you can click the heart icon to add it to your favorites. You can fast forward through the posts and songs using your arrow keys, space bar or the > button.
