Anthropologie designs fitting rooms in a salon-like setting that encourages groups to try on clothes together.

Fashion retailer Anthropologie has revamped its dressing room design to transform the chore of trying on clothes into a relaxed experience with personalized attention. Answering shoppers’ desire to try on clothes together, fitting rooms have been adjusted to accommodate multiple people in a comfortable, salon-like setting. Couches outside the fitting rooms foster a leisurely approach to sampling items in front of a mirror, while placards hang on fitting room doors, allowing salespeople to record shoppers’ names and provide friendly, one-on-one attention.
