Google And ESPN Give You Sports Updates As You Search For Them [Headlines]

Google is working with ESPN to have sports updates show up on the search page as you type in the name of your favorite team. Pretty soon, you won't have to dig for the info on the homepage anymore.

If you’re looking for info on your favorite sports teams, Google is working with ESPN to make that a bit easier for you. Now, relevant sports info will show up right within the search results.

For example, if you search for Boston Red Sox, at the top of your search results you’ll find information about their last game, the score, when their next game is and who it’s against. Search for a sport, and you’ll get a more complete schedule. They’re still working on rolling out a full implementation of this, but it should result in you being able to get basic info right from your search results without having to click to a new site. Pretty neat. Adam Frucci/Dvice.
