Understanding that its members like to share the experiences they’ve purchases with rewards points, American Express has recently launched a dedicated Membership Rewards tab on the their Facebook page. On that tab, Cardmembers can share with their communities what items or experiences they have redeemed Membership Rewards points for and take advantage of special weekly offers.

American Express repositioned its rewards points by branding them as a new type of virtual currency to enhance usability and offer unexpected experiences. These points can be redeemed through partners such as Amazon or directly through American Express for everything from flights to flowers.
