Target’s latest advertising campaign from Wieden+Kennedy Portland is a huge collection of short spots that cover the wide range of products the company has to offer. Each is focused on a different product and follows a similar pattern. The 15 seconds are broken down into just nine seconds of plot, then the product is revealed on-screen for a second, and then Target’s logo and taglines appear. Rob Thompson, W+K’s creative director, said:
It’s not that hard to do a good one, but it is very hard to do an excellent one. The trap everyone can fall into is solving the riddle: A plus B equals C, yay, I solved it.
