AR App Lets Bloomingdale’s Shoppers Pose With NBC Stars
Bloomingdale’s and NBC are using the GoldRun app for the iPad and iPhone to support their Fall campaign. NBC has five new shows airing soon: The Playboy Club, Whitney, Free Agents, Prime Suspect, and Up All Night. From September 8th-25th, shoppers at all of Bloomingdale’s stores across the country will be able to pose with virtual characters from these shows.
Bloomingdale’s staff armed with iPads and the Goldrun app will be available to snap photos for shoppers, or they can download the free augmented reality app themselves from iTunes.
For taking part, they will be entered into a sweepstakes featuring 25 random $100 gift cards a day. They will also be in with the chance to win a $5,000 Bloomingdale’s shopping spree, a trip to Los Angeles for a set visit to one of NBC’s new fall shows including a cast meet-and-greet, or a grand prize walk-on role in The Playboy Club.
