Nokia’s vending machine, designed by 1000heads, makes its debut at the Skypark in Glasgow for the city’s Social Media Week. Dubbed the Nokia ‘gift machine,’ the Foursquare-enabled technology encourages passerbys to check-in with the #NokiaConnects hashtag, share on Twitter, and receive a free gift in return. Users are allowed one check-in per day and will get prizes varying from candy to Nokia accessories and smartphones. According to Nokia’s press release, this activity, alongside other work around the world, builds on Nokia + 1000heads’ ‘random acts of kindness’ activity from February earlier this year. Check out a demo video of this innovative vending machine below.
