The Hotel Americano in Chelsea, New York, which recently opened its doors, offers guests a must-have app for their stay. The free app provides connections to room service and the hotel’s facilities, and a comprehensive city guide that is constantly updated.

With information about shopping, dining, activities, culture and nightlife, guests can plan their itinerary from the comfort of their room. The hotel asked a few of its friends to provide personal recommendations in New York City, including architect Enrique Norton and creative legend Richard Pandiscio.

The app also comes pre-loaded with a selection of digital newspapers, blogs, and useful links to things like the latest hit broadway show or the nearby cinema. Not forgetting a custom-tailored music playlist from Brazilian icon Bebel Gilberto that ‘reflects the cosmopolitan and nostalgic, yet decidedly Latin flavor of the hotel!’
