Citroen introduced their futuristic concept car at the Frankfurt Auto Show, complete with freely-configurable back seats.
We previewed Citroen’s Tubik concept in computer image form and the actual vehicle looks just as wild. The Tubik has design roots in past Citroen commercial vehicles like the TUB and Type H, the latter you’ll be familiar with if you follow premium cycling gear maker Rapha. The Tubik is all together a vision of the future. The driver’s seat for instance is called the ‘cyclotron’ and is designed to combine the seat, foot controls, steering wheel, and display in one circular shaped space. The back is designed to be like a lounge and integrates a semi-circular screen and spatialized sound system. Seating can be freely configured to be face-to-face, semi-reclined or flat for sleeping.
