Cross Country Letterpress Printing Workshop In A 1982 Chevy Van
What started as a printing business for Kyle Durrie has now become a passion – one that has taken her across the country and back again. In 2010, Durrie founded her mobile letterpress printing workshop called Movable Type, which has its main office in the back of a customized 1982 Chevy van. Since then, she has been touring around cities, offering free workshops on the art of letterpress printing. One of Durrie’s main goals is to spread the word and encourage others to try going back to printing the ‘old-fashioned way.’ By the first week of September, Durrie will be at the Hamilton Wood and Print Type Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Interested persons can also contact Durrie through her website to schedule a city tour from Movable Type.
