A new interactive campaign for the men’s brand lets you scan ads to unlock additional content.
Dunhill is a luxury menswear brand from the U.K. and is looking to drives sales of its Autumn/Winer 2011 collection by using augmented reality technology. Using Aurasma’s AR lite app, which is free to download, the user can bring up digital content just by scanning over a Dunhill advertisement with their device. The app will only work with Dunhill’s current Voice campaign, which has appeared in magazines, on billboards and other marketing spaces.
The Voice campaign was launched to celebrate ‘brilliant’ British men and their achievement that have inspired others. Dunhill hopes that the augmented reality app will help users understand the campaign better through interactive videos and content. Watch the video to see how the app works.
