
Honda Battle Of The Bands Kicks Off
The polls are open ahead of next year’s Honda Battle of the Bands, with the top eight bands advancing to perform at the invitational showcase in Atlanta, Georgia in January. This annual event highlights the marching bands of America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Every year, Honda awards more than $200,000 in grants to participating marching bands.
A redesigned website for the event has been created by Muse Communications in L.A. It offers a full interactive experience that includes bands submitting performance videos online, members of the college community logging on to vote for their favorites, and an online contest that rewards you for participating in social media. There is also a 10-year timeline showing the history of the event.
