German designer creates a piece of freestyle sports equipment that feels like an extension of the body.
German designer David Laudert wanted to improve the ergonomics, the appearance and the interior of a freestyle kajak to enhance the bond between an athelete and their sports equipment so he came up with this design.
His product fuses the athlete with the hull of the kayak, enabling them to move more freely in the water, while still being fully supported. There are straps in the seat to hold the athlete in place, which keep them secure while riding the swift currents.
The sleek and streamlined design shows a clear orientation forward, so the kayak will glide quickly and easily through the water.
