The deal will enable better integration between smartphones and other devices and benefit the music label, Playstation, and movie studio.

The $1.5 billion deal gives Sony intellectual property rights to all of the Japanese company’s products and services and five essential patents. The corporation is following in Apple’s footsteps in an attempt to meet consumer demands by linking products with similar interfaces and operating systems. Reuters.
