Bell Canada, the country’s largest telecommunications company, is launching an interactive campaign to illustrate the role of the Bell network as a social platform. The “Social Portrait” campaign, developed at Teehan + Lax, is programmed to construct typographic portrait of a user’s digital life based on Facebook and Twitter data. Tweets and status updates are used to create a unique profile picture that users can then customize, download, and share with their friends. Bell is also running a contest in conjunction with the campaign to award the user with the most “Likes” on their social portrait on Facebook with a free phone and service for a year.
