Users Create Unique Social Portraits Based On Facebook And Twitter Feeds

Bell Canada, the telecom provider helps users construct a personalized "social portrait" and launches free phone giveaway.

Alice Chan

Bell Canada, the country’s largest telecommunications company, is launching an interactive campaign to illustrate the role of the Bell network as a social platform. The “Social Portrait” campaign,┬ádeveloped at┬áTeehan + Lax, is programmed to construct typographic portrait of a user’s digital life based on Facebook and Twitter data. Tweets and status updates are used to create a unique profile picture that users can then customize, download, and share with their friends. Bell is also running a contest in conjunction with the campaign to award the user with the most “Likes” on their social portrait on Facebook with a free phone and service for a year. See below for a video demo of the new campaign and technology.
