Etsy Lanches iPhone App To Capture Holiday Sales

By Yi Chen on November 21, 2011

The popular online retail site for handmade and vintage items has finally launched its own iPhone app. The long-awaited app was revealed last week just in time for the holiday shopping season.

The Etsy app can be downloaded for free on the Apple App Store and includes useful features for both buyers and sellers. Buyers are able to search, browse and purchase items conveniently on their iPhones. While sellers can view their listings and manage their orders and store fronts.

Arpan Podduturi, Mobile Product Manager at Etsy, commented that:

As more people carry around small, connected devices, we see new opportunities to bridge offline shopping with online purchasing. Etsy is in a unique position to create meaningful connections between offline and online commerce and we see that as a big and exciting opportunity for the coming year.
