General Electric Seeks Out Photographer On Instagram

GE is hosting a global competition on the mobile photo sharing app Instagram to find its next social media photographer. The multinational corporation is looking to hire a new ‘Instagrapher’ to be flown to the U.K. to take a series of interesting photos at its new jet engine facility. The photos will be uploaded and shared on social sites like Instagram and Tumblr.

To enter, applications must upload their photos on Instagram and share them with the tag #GEInspiredMe. Photos must be inspired by the four categories detailing how GE works: Moving, Curing, Powering and Building. Photos submitted will be shared on the GE Facebook page where fans can vote for their favorites. The finalists will then be selected by a panel of judges and the winner will be announced on the 20th of December.
