Showtime Promotes Hit TV Series With Online & In-Person Polygraph Tests

By Emma Hutchings on November 10, 2011

Last week’s episode of Showtime’s series Homeland, starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, saw most of the main characters subjected to polygraph tests, with one even managing to beat his. To promote the hit new show, viewers were given the opportunity to have a go themselves and see if they too could beat a lie detector. Showtime sent polygraph vans to locations around the US, and they stopped in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Professional polygraphists tested people’s answers to a series of questions to see if they could get away with telling a lie.
