Karlsson’s Gold Vodka announces an open US call for creative ideas as part of its UNFILTERED collaborative series supporting artists and artisans.
Karlsson’s Gold Vodka is engaging with consumers and artists by launching UNFILTERED, a series that helps participants realize their creative ideas. Labouring under the belief that “great ideas (and vodka) should be left unfiltered,” the brand has announced an open call in the US for passion projects that celebrate craft, heritage and creative vision. Karlsson’s will chose the best submissions to be featured on their website, where a voting public will chose which ideas they want to see realized. Launching in early 2012, the first UNFILTERED projects will be curated with Rich Brilliant Willing, Sight Unseen and the American Design Club.
Manhattan design studio, Rich Brilliant Willing, will be creating a collection of apparati for beverage consumption for Karlsson’s UNFILTERED–including pitchers, ice buckets, glasses, serving trays, and a mortar and pestle.
The online magazine Sight Unseen will create a special print edition as part of the UNFILTERED series. Focusing on the stories and inspiration of the creative process, Sight Unseen will develop this special issue for March 2012.
In May 2012, as part of the UNFILTERED series, the American Design Club will present its eighth group exhibition. The New York City-based design club will make a open call for submissions that center on the theme that “nature unfiltered is never perfect.”
