In our research for the Future Of Gaming report, our consulting team noticed a growing tendency towards using gaming To Promote Fundraising. One example of this trend is Striiv- a portable fitness device that blends physical activity with donations, converting everyday actions into opportunities for charitable play. users attach the wearable device that functions as pedometer to a keychain or belt to track every step they take throughout the day. Games hosted on the device are powered by movement, with Striiv and other sponsors making donations to charity on a user’s behalf based on the number of steps taken. At launch, Striiv is partnering with GlobalGiving to donate clean water to children in South America or polio vaccines to children in India.
