The Skip The Line mobile application combines location-based gaming with exclusive access and rewards at Six Flags Amusement Parks.
In our research for the Future Of Gaming report, the PSFK consulting team noticed that one motivation driving in-game participation was Exclusive Access. One example of this mechanic is the Skip The Line mobile application. Amusement park chain Six Flags partnered with Q&A site Ask.com to create a mobile trivia application that combines location- based gaming with exclusive access and rewards. Ask.com’s ‘Skip the Line’ mobile trivia game application launches on a user’s phone based on their proximity to a Six Flags Amusement Park (within two miles). Gamers answering questions correctly earn points and the chance to win exclusive ‘jump the line’ consideration at the theme parks.
