Online Purchase Manager Lets Gift Recipients Track A Delivery Without Discovering What It Is

Slice is an online purchase manager that processes your shopping-related emails, including order confirmations and shipping notifications, to automatically organize and help you track your online purchases. The start-up, currently in beta, has now launched a new feature that it hopes will enhance the gift giving process. “Track With Friends” emails a virtual gift box to the person you’ve bought something for, telling them to expect a delivery and letting them track their package.

The recipient can then view the delivery information and trace its journey on a map without finding out what the surprise gift is or how much it cost. Only the sender needs to be a Slice user in order to enable the “Track With Friends” feature, which can be accessed via the “Track Shipments” page of the site. The virtual wrapping paper can be customized and a message to the recipient can be added too.
