An investigative blogger lost a suit against an investment firm for publishing several highly opinionated and critical posts.

In the blogger’s post, she called co-founder of the investment firm Obsidian a ‘liar’ and ‘thug,’ terms she asserts she acquired from an inside source. However, the U.S. District Court held that Ms. Cox is a blogger, not a journalist, and therefore not afforded the protections allowed traditional media outlets. The New York Times.
