Swedish Postal Service Website Lets People Create Customizable Christmas Cards

The Swedish Post has launched a website that lets you take a virtual tour of a barn decorated with Christmas elements and capture live photos of pigs, elves, trees and more, which you can then turn into Christmas cards to send to your friends and family.

‘Xmas cards on wheels’ is inspired by traditional Christmas card designs. Jenny Nyström illustrated the very first Swedish Christmas cards, which featured pigs, Santa Claus bringing presents, and children dancing around a decorated tree.

Now, visitors to this site can recreate her style of images, capturing photos as a camera travels around the barn to show them various living motifs. Once you’ve chosen a picture you like, you can turn it into a real card and post it to someone in the mail. Watch the behind the scenes video below to see how they created the barn setting:
