Spoof Infomercial Positions Adobe Photoshop As A Beauty Product

Spoof Infomercial Positions Adobe Photoshop As A Beauty Product

By Kyana Gordon on January 10, 2012

Up watching television on a sleepless night, Jesse Rosten came across an infomercial which inspired the idea for his spoof beauty product, ‘Fotoshop by Adobé.’ Poking fun at beauty ads with an introduction citing the product as the next revolution in beauty, the joke continues on with lines like: “Transform your look the way celebrities do with this beauty industry secret that’s now available for the first time ever.” Rosten pulls out all the clichés.

In the stereotypical before and after portraits, we can see hue saturation to change hair, eye, and even skin color, erasing blemishes with the wave of a magic wand, and even the reshaping of your body without exercise. Guaranteed to garner plenty of laughs, this spoof  uses humor to give a clever tongue-in-cheek commentary on the current unrealistic standards of beauty.
