iPhone App Enables Creative Professionals To Share Work Instantly
Popular creativity platform Behance has released a new iPhone app for creative professionals to browse and explore some of the world’s most talented designers and artists.
The app’s features include the ability to: showcase your Behance portfolio without an internet connection, search millions of projects on Behance.net, access your portfolio, your collections, your statistics and manage your connections.
Mentos Hires Veteran Developer To Turn Ad Into An iPhone Game
Graeme Devine, lead developer for battle games like Halo Wars and Age of Empires 3, has designed the game Spider Swiper for the confectionery brand Mentos. A recent Mentos ad features a surprisingly strong spider that can lift and throw a man around, and drag him across the room. After numerous request from fans who want to have a go at fighting the spider, Mentos decided to turn the commercial idea into an iOS game with the help of the Martin Agency and digital production company Tool.
Lonely Planet Facebook App Concept Connects Travelers To Locals In Their Social Network
The Lonely Planet Friends for Friends is a useful Facebook application concept for people who are looking to find locals in their next travel destination. Developed by students at the Miami Ad School in Brooklyn, USA. The online tool utilizes the traveler’s Facebook network and locates their friends and also second-degree connections on a world map. Users can find and connect with locals to find insider advice and information for various travel situations.
New App Monitors Your Health Stats And Interprets The Data
Apps are more than fun and games. AlphaLab, a “startup accelerator” based in Pittsburgh, has created “VitalClip,” a small device that plugs into an iPhone and allows users to measure their vital signs to give them a snapshot of their general health and well-being. Plenty of apps that measure your health and wellness are available, but according to CEO Steven Radney, in his explanation on the AlphaLab blog, many “activity monitors only give you information about activity and you have to extract meaning from that yourself.” VitalClip claims to be the first that combines your personal health history with other environmental factors to make it easier for users to understand and regulate their health.
New App Puts A Digital Spin On BoardGames
Kids might be the real winners at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). We stopped by to see a demonstration of “GameChanger,” a new app from Identity Gamesthat combines an iPad or iPad 2 with an electronic game board. Users “spin” a virtual wheel to determine their next move while the app tracks their progress. Game pieces interact with the iPad, which asks questions and assigns tasks, so players always know whose turn it is. With half of the game digital users don’t have to worry about losing dice or cards either — perhaps the best feature of the app.
