Here’s a good example of Foursquare lists from Syracuse University, which uses them to recommend places to shop and eat out as well as showcasing student events and historical university buildings.

Syracuse University Uses Foursquare Lists To Highlight Local Attractions

The New York university’s lists include Ghost Buildings, Marshall Street Madness, Spots To Eat Around Town and Best Places To Watch The Orange (the nickname of their athletic teams). Students and others can use the lists to learn about the university’s history or find great places to dine and shop around the campus. Syracuse has also added a number of tips, identifying local attractions and places worth visiting, and providing a short description or recommendation.
