Marks and Spencer is teaming with electronics company Samsung and multi-channel video agency Adjust Your Set to create an interactive TV app. The app provides information about clothes, food, technology, fashion trends and more. According to an article on TheDrum.com, Aubrey-Cound, director of new channels at Marks and Spencer, explains that:

[the] app enables customers to discover more about our products and innovations from the comfort of their living rooms, whilst supporting our broader marketing channels.

The platform is free for Samsung Smart TV owners. Although it does not allow users to buy products through their TV, an update that will permit users to do so will likely arrive in the near future. With this addition the ability to shop through your TV may become commonplace.
