Fortitech, the Danish company exclusively dedicated to the manufacture of nutrient premixes, is going to be sampling an energy enhancing gum at the fortified foods conference Vitafoods 2012, which takes places from May 22nd-24th in Geneva, Switzerland. The gum is fortified with Tuarine, Guarana and B-vitamins. Following the success the industry has had due to the popularity of energy drinks, Fortitech is keen to show it is experimenting with a number of alternative delivery systems for nutrients and supplements.  Gum follows on from inhalers, gel strips and pixie sticks as a possible new platform.

Fortitech has helped manufacturers develop over 30,000 products over the last 25 years. The company is able to source more than 1,400 ingredients and can integrate a comprehensive selection of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, nucleotides and nutraceuticals, enabling manufacturers to target the specific needs and demands of any consumer demographic. Applications that utilize their premixes include baby formulas, cereals, dairy products, nutrition and sports drinks, juices, snacks, candies and supplements.
