Virgin Atlantic Launches A Branded Red Lipstick

The airline is releasing its first beauty product, which is said to alleviate the drying effects of cabin air pressure.

Virgin Atlantic is set to launch its first beauty product, giving today’s most glamorous airline a new way to brand its iconic red color. A lipstick called ‘Upper Class Red’ has been created in collaboration with bareMinerals and will be integrated into the Virgin Atlantic cabin crew uniform.

Air hostess Vanessa White has been made-over to model and promote the bright red shade, which has been created to mark the launch of the airline’s redesigned Upper Class Cabin. Female cabin crew will be wearing the lipstick during the first flight to feature the new Upper Class Cabin (the A330 flight from London to New York) and the passengers will be given a free sample.

The lipstick is said to be good for frequent fliers as it includes “micronized freshwater pearl powder” which helps to hydrate your lips and alleviate the effects of cabin air pressure. Passengers will be able to purchase the product at Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse spas, bareMinerals stockists and through the airline’s in-flight shopping guide, Retail Therapy, at a price of £15 ($24).
